Our Personal Data Processing and Protection Policy

Due to the entry into force of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), data processing activities of real and legal persons who are not exempted from KVKK must be carried out in accordance with the procedures and principles set forth in KVKK. Apart from KVKK, there are regulations regarding the protection of personal data in the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey, Turkish Penal Code, Electronic Communications Law and many other laws.

This “Personal Data Processing and Protection Policy” Document has been prepared for RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. in order to inform us about how we process personal data we obtain from our customers, potential customers, employees, interns, employee and intern candidates, suppliers and their authorities and all other third parties, for what purposes we use it and how we protect this information while conducting our business relations in relation to the KVKK that entered into force on April 7, 2016. Both the KVKK and other legal regulations were taken into consideration during the preparation of the document.

Our Principles for Processing Personal Data

All personal data processed by RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. is processed in accordance with the KVKK and relevant legislation. The basic principles and guidelines we pay attention to when processing your personal data in accordance with Article 4 of the KVKK are explained below:

• RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. acts in accordance with the principles introduced by legal regulations and the general rule of trust and honesty in the processing of personal data. In this context, does not use personal data for purposes other than those required.
• RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. ensures that taking into account the fundamental rights of personal data owners and its own legitimate interests.
• RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. clearly and precisely determines the legitimate and lawful purpose of processing personal data. It processes personal data in connection with the services it offers and to the extent necessary for them.
• RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. processes personal data in a manner suitable for the achievement of the specified purposes and avoids processing personal data that is not relevant or needed for the achievement of the purpose.
• RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş., preserves personal data only for the period specified in the relevant legislation or necessary for the purpose of processing. In this context, it first determines whether a period is stipulated in the relevant legislation for the storage of personal data, if a period is specified, it acts in accordance with this period, if no period is specified, it stores personal data for the period necessary for the purpose of processing. In the event that the period expires or the reasons requiring processing are eliminated, personal data is deleted, destroyed or anonymized.

Collection of Personal Data

We collect your personal data mainly in the following situations:

• When you receive or use our services,
• When you sell goods or provide services to us,
• When you subscribe to our newsletters, surveys and marketing communications,
• When you contact us via our website, email, social media platforms, other online channels or telephone
• When you apply for a job/internship at RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş,
• When we contact you in the business processes we carry out within the framework of the dynamics of the sector.

Sharing of Personal Data

Transfer of Personal Data Domestically

RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. is responsible for acting in accordance with the decisions and relevant regulations stipulated in the KVKK, especially Article 8 of the KVKK, transfer of personal data. As a rule, personal data and special data belonging to data owners cannot be transferred to other real persons or legal entities without the explicit consent of the relevant person.

In addition, in cases stipulated in Articles 5 and 6 of the KVKK, transfer is possible without the consent of the relevant person. RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. may transfer personal data to third parties located in Turkey, in accordance with the conditions stipulated in the KVKK and other relevant legislation and by taking the security measures specified in the legislation, unless otherwise regulated in the Law or other relevant legislation.

Transfer of Personal Data Abroad

RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. may also transfer it abroad to be processed in Turkey or to be processed and stored outside Turkey, in accordance with the conditions stipulated in the Law and other relevant legislation, including the use of outsourcing, and by taking the security measures specified in the legislation.

As a rule, RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. seek the explicit consent of data owners for the transfer of personal data abroad in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK. However, in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK, if one of the conditions stipulated in Article 5/2 or Article 6/3 of the KVKK exists and the personal data is transferred to a foreign country, RAINTRADE PETROKIMYA VE DIS TİCARET A.Ş. may transfer of personal data.
